HISTORY

The Moon Princess Trilogy is a novelization of all the events from Sailor Moon. The Trilogy is made up of three section: Moon Kingdom, Tokyo, and Crystal Tokyo. The stories that make up the Trilogy are season summaries and movie summaries all in one and most of all, it is in chronological order, so it is a Sailor Moon timeline as well. Putting all of the events in Sailor Moon in chronological order is very difficult because the Sailor Moon timeline doesn't always make sense and many parts of time are vaguely described in the anime/manga but I did my best. The date references throughout the Trilogy are based on the assumption that the events that took place in an episode occurred around the same time the episode aired. This assumption is based on the fact that special holidays and events happened in real time. For example, if it was Christmas time, it would also be Christmas time on the show. I entitled this collection "Moon Princess Trilogy" because it is made up of three parts and my ultimate focus was to follow the history of the Serenity's of the Moon (Queen Serenity, Princess Serenity, Neo-Queen Serenity, and Small Lady Serenity).

The Trilogy is based on the Japanese anime of Sailor Moon. At the end of part, there is a section called "Moonlight in Manga", which highlights the difference between the anime and manga in the story of Sailor Moon.

The story you are about to read is based on the Japanese version of Sailor Moon and uses Japanese names for all the characters. If you are not familiar with the Japanese names, please refer to the Name Guide. English names for characters will also appear in ( ) when a character is first introduced.

Millions of years ago before the present, the Ice Princess's comet approached the Earth with a mission to take it over. But before the comet reached Earth, Queen Serenity used the Silver Imperium Crystal to banish the Ice Princess into space.¹

Two thousand years before the present, there was an era called the Silver Millennium. It was an era of peace between all planets, filled with joy and celebration, which lasted for one thousand years. On the moon was the Moon Kingdom and it was ruled by the lovely Queen Serenity. The Moon Kingdom was the core of the solar system and all the princesses from the surrounding planets would come to the Moon's celebrations.

In the distant, Queen Neherenia happily ruled her planet, the New Moon.2 She was surrounded by cheerful servants and her people always praised her beauty. Queen Neherenia's beauty became the most important thing to her and she believed that her beauty would last forever. One day, she asked a magic mirror what her future looked like. The mirror showed her an old woman, who was ugly with wrinkles. Queen Neherenia was horrified. The mirror chanted over and over again to her, "Never... never be suspicious of dreams within the dreams of dreaming kids!" until she began to chant it as well.

The evil in the mirror possessed her and told her that she could keep her beauty forever by eating the dream mirrors of other people. So she ate the dream mirrors of all her servants and all her people. Her people turned into lemure monsters and she was alone on her dead planet. In her loneliness, she watched the White Moon's festivities with jealousy because the Moon Kingdom promised happiness. She wanted the White Moon's happiness for herself and be Queen of the Silver Millennium. Later, she learned that with the Golden Crystal, she could rule the moon and the universe but she wasn't able to get it. Queen Serenity saw the evil in Queen Neherenia and used the Silver Crystal to seal her into the darkness of the New Moon.

Queen Serenity had one daughter, named Princess Serenity, who was young and gentle. Princess Serenity would spend much of her time gazing at the planet Earth from the Moon Palace. She loved the trees, the oceans, and other things the Moon did not have. She also fell in love with a man who lived on Earth. His name was Prince Endymion, the prince of Earth.

Then, the day after one thousand years of peace, the evil force Metallia (Negaforce) possessed a human on Earth named Beryl. Using the evil powers of the Dark Kingdom (Negaverse), she possessed the minds of many humans and soon took over the planet Earth. With the possessed humans as soldiers and her Dark Kingdom warriors, Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite, and Kunzite (Malachite), Queen Beryl planned her attack on the Moon Kingdom so she would rule both Earth and Moon.

Prince Endymion fled to the Moon Kingdom to warn Princess Serenity. It seemed to everyone on the Moon Kingdom that Earth was now their enemy and no humans could be trusted. Prince Endymion told Princess Serenity that their love was forbidden, but he would do his best to protect the Moon, even though he would be fighting his own planet. They shared a last kiss before he went off to help fight.

Beryl and Metallia attacked and everything on the Moon was destroyed. The Sailor Senshi, princesses of the surrounding planets and guardians of Princess Serenity, and the Moon's army tried to defend the Moon but all of them died without success.

Finally, Beryl cast her eyes on Princess Serenity and attacked her. Prince Endymion saved her from the attack and Queen Beryl asked Prince Endymion to become her King. When he refused, Metallia attacked the Prince, sweeping him into a tornado. Princess Serenity screamed and jumped into the tornado with him. Just as they grasped hands, Metallia blasted them with an energy beam and they died.

Queen Serenity watched as their two bodies drifted upward in the tornado. As she cried, she muttered, "I won't let it end like this," and mounted the Silver Imperium Crystal on the Crescent Moon Wand. Luna and Artemis, her faithful advisors, reminded her that if she used the crystal, she would surely die. But her mind was made up. She would sacrifice her life so that her daughter and the rest of her people could live.

Using the power of the crystal, she sealed Queen Beryl and the Dark Kingdom. The Prince, Princess, the Sailor Senshi, and the people of the Moon Kingdom were stored into the Silver Crystal. She released the Crystal into the air and sent it with all her people one thousand years into the future to be reborn on Earth. As she lay dying, she told Luna and Artemis that Princess Serenity and the others would have no memory of this time and that there was a possibility that the Dark Kingdom could break free again. If that were to happen, Luna and Artemis must seek out the Princess and the Senshi to awaken them.

With her last breath, she whispered to her people, "On behalf of the moon, you will be free. Maybe we'll meet again, someday," and she died. The Crescent Wand fell from her hand and whisked Luna and Artemis away with the others to the future.




Moon Kingdom

Moonlight on Manga highlights only the differences in the Sailor Moon manga compared to the anime. Please read the anime storyline above before reading this section. The Sailor Moon manga is comprised of 18 volumes, or 18 books. Each volume has 3-4 acts, which are like chapters of the book. There are 52 acts in all.


Though the Ice Princess did not state exactly when she was banished from Earth in the "Sailor Moon S" movie, according to the manga, the Silver Imperium Crystal drove her away 4.5 million years before the present.

There are a few differences in the manga when it comes to the Silver Millennium. One detail that isn't mentioned in the anime is that Queen Beryl's generals, Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite, and Kunzite (Malachite), were actually generals of Prince Endymion on Earth and were brain-washed by Beryl to serve her. The four generals were also Prince Endymion's guardians, just as Sailor Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, and Venus are Princess Serenity's guardians. There is a hunch that the Inner Senshi had relationships with the four generals during the Silver Millennium. There are several clues to this possibility in manga. First of all, in the "Sailor V" manga, there is one picture of Princess Venus being held romantically by what looks like Kunzite (Malachite) but his name is never mentioned nor his origin. I will also discuss a few clues in Moonlight on Manga in the Tokyo section. One of the biggest indicators of Naoko Takeuchi's intentions is her drawing that appears in Sailor Moon Art Book I. This drawing shows Princess Serenity's guardians being held romantically by Prince Endymion's generals. So even if it is not clear whether or not they had relationships, it seems evident that Naoko Takeuchi intended them to or at least played with the idea. However, if it is true, I find it odd that destiny does not bring them back together like it did Prince Endymion and Princess Serenity in the present day.

The human Beryl embraced Queen Metallia's evil force because she wanted Prince Endymion to love her and was jealous of Princess Serenity's relationship with him. As Queen Beryl died in the manga, she admitted this and admitted spying on them when the Princess snuck away to Earth to be with Endymion.

The deaths of Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion at the end of the Silver Millennium were very different in the manga. When Queen Beryl attacked the two of them, Prince Endymion shielded Princess Serenity and was killed by the blast. Princess Serenity was so grief-stricken that she took his sword and she killed herself.

When she saw the dead couple, Queen Serenity thought, "I felt this love affair end sadly. A love between the Earth and the Moon could never be. I'll seal it away...that demon and this Moon...and give you to the future! This time...you'll be born on the same planet and you'll find happiness there." That was the reason why she sent them all to Earth.

Tokyo: Sailor Moon


All the Sailor Senshi, Princess Serenity, and Prince Darien were reborn in Tokyo without any memory of their existence on the Moon. The Silver Imperium Crystal was split into seven Rainbow Crystals and were born into seven human hosts on Earth.

In 1980, when Mamoru (Darien) was six-years-old, his family was in a car accident. His parents died and he lost his memory. While at the hospital, he met Fiore, an alien from another galaxy. Fiore provides Mamoru the comfort and friendship he needed but Fiore eventually had to leave Earth before Mamoru left the hospital because his body could not survive on Earth. Mamoru cried in his room when a little four-year-old girl, Usagi (Serena), walked in and gave Mamoru a rose to celebrate the birth of her baby brother. Mamoru gave his rose to Fiore as a parting gift. "Thank you," Fiore said as he began to disappear. "Someday, I'll bring you lots of flowers."

Since then, Mamoru had a recurring dream of a princess calling out to him to find the Imperium Silver Crystal. Mamoru, now nearly finishing high school, still had no idea of who he really was but he believed that dream was a clue. Meanwhile, on a distant planet, an injured Makaiju (Doom Tree) escaped from a distant planet that was destroyed by war and anger and hoped that two of her children, Ail (Alan) and Ann, would find the energy of love, which would heal it.2

Nine-years-later, Professor Tomoe's gene manipulation experiment exploded, killing his wife and his eight-year-old daughter, Hotaru. "Do you want to save your daughter's life?" Pharoh 90 asked. Professor Tomoe cried, "I'll do anything to save her Hotaru!" A black star entered Professor Tomoe's right eye and he became possessed by Daimon Gerumatou. Hotaru became the human host of the daimon, Mistress 9.

In 1991, as Queen Serenity had warned, Queen Beryl and Metallia (Negaforce) somehow freed themselves from the seal and were wreaking havoc on the city of Tokyo, where everyone had been reborn. Queen Beryl commanded all her warriors to search for the Imperium Silver Crystal, which would give her immeasurable strength. Luna and Artemis separately began to seek after the Sailor Senshi and the Moon Princess.¹

Artemis was the first to find a Sailor Senshi. He followed Minako (Mina) to London, England and revealed to her that she was in fact Sailor Venus. Sailor Venus took up the codename Sailor V and fought crime in London and eventually in Tokyo until the other three guardians and Princess Serenity was found.

Despite their moment in the hospital eleven years ago, Usagi hated Mamoru because he always teased her, especially about her hair. He called her "Odango Atama", meaning odango head. (Odango is a Japanese sweet dumpling.) "You are the person I hate most in the world," she told him once.

In March of 1992, Luna discovered that Usagi, an eighth grader, was Sailor Moon, the leader of the Senshi. Luna told her that the mission of the Sailor Senshi was to find the Imperium Silver Crystal. After it is found, the Moon Princess would be revealed and the Sailor Senshi would need to protect her, so that she can defeat the Dark Kingdom. Soon after, Luna also found Ami to be Sailor Mercury and Rei to be Sailor Mars. Jadeite was the first general of the Dark Kingdom that the Sailor Senshi fought and Queen Beryl killed him after too many failures. Nephrite then took his place when Makoto (Lita) was discovered to be Sailor Jupiter.

Usagi's friend, Naru (Molly), fell in love with Nephrite and helped him become good but Queen Beryl had him killed by Zoisite. Naru was of course heartbroken but Umino (Melvin) helped her get through it and they started dating. At this time, Artemis and Sailor Venus reunited with Luna, Sailor Moon, and the three other guardian Senshi. Together the Sailor Senshi fought the Dark Kingdom generals, Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite, and Kunzite (Malachite).

During this time, Mamoru as Tuxedo Mask fought along side Sailor Moon and assisted the Senshi in their battles. At first, Darien didn't even know he was Tuxedo Mask. He would automatically transform whenever Sailor Moon was in trouble. He eventually realized his alter ego and wanted to use it to find the princess that called out to him in his dreams, hoping that she could tell him who he was. Sailor Moon soon fell in love with Tuxedo Mask since he always showed up to rescue her from peril.

Jadeite was killed by Queen Beryl after too many failures. Zoisite killed Nephrite after he failed too many times as well and wanted to take his place. Finally, it was discovered the seven Rainbow Crystals were needed to find the Imperium Silver Crystal. By the time all seven were found, Tuxedo Mask had four and Zoisite had three. The Sailor Senshi began to suspect Tuxedo Mask was an enemy because he would not cooperate in handing over the crystals to them. But oddly enough, Tuxedo Mask gave Sailor Moon the Star Locket, a beautiful little music box.

In October, Zoisite proposed a dual with Tuxedo Mask, winner taking all the seven crystals. During this dual, Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask revealed their true identities by transforming in front of each other. Mamoru was fatally wounded by Zoisite and Usagi cried over him. The seven Rainbow Crystals merged with one of Usagi's tears and formed the Silver Imperium Crystal. Usagi them was transformed into the Moon Princess, Princess Serenity, and held the wounded Mamoru. She called "Endymion" and some faint memories of the past returned to her. She remembered they were lovers and that he went away to a war. Suddenly, Princess Serenity fainted.

The wounded Mamoru was then stolen by Kunzite and taken to Queen Beryl. Queen Beryl killed Zoisite for trying to kill Mamoru and then healed Mamoru's body but brainwashed him into joining the Dark Kingdom. Mamoru began fighting against Sailor Moon as Prince Endymion and it was extremely painful and emotional for Sailor Moon to fight him. She continued to believe that they would be able to bring his true self back.

It was now January of 1993 and the fateful battle with Queen Beryl was on the horizon. Queen Serenity appeared to the Sailor Senshi and whisked them away to the moon. She told them about what happened in the Moon Kingdom one thousand years ago. When the Sailor Senshi returned, Kunzite attacked them. Sailor Moon deflected one of his poisonous boomerangs back at him and he was killed. The Sailor Senshi traveled to D-point on the North Pole, Queen Beryl's hideout.

On the way there, they were attacked by Queen Beryl's five most powerful demons. The demons one-by-one starting with Sailor Jupiter, then Sailor Mercury, Sailor Venus, and finally Sailor Mars killed each Sailor Senshi. Sailor Moon became devastated and wanted to give up but the spirits of the dead Senshi told her to keep going. When Sailor Moon reached D-point, she found Queen Beryl with Prince Endymion together.

Prince Endymion attacked Sailor Moon but she fatally wounded him with her tiara attack. She then healed Prince Endymion by reminding him of their love with the Star Locket and he died. Sailor Moon transformed into Princess Serenity and faced Queen Beryl, who received a power-up from Metallia. Together with the life forces of the dead Senshi, Princess Serenity used the Crescent Moon Wand and defeated Queen Beryl. However, the power drained Princess Serenity of her life and her dying wish was that she would become a normal teenager again.

With the Dark Kingdom defeated and all the children of the Silver Millennium dead, the Imperium Silver Crystal granted Princess Serenity her wish. Time was turned back one year, before any of the Sailor Senshi discovered their identities, and time continued as if the Dark Kingdom never existed.

Tokyo: Sailor Moon R

By the power of the Imperium Silver Crystal, Usagi and her friends were normal teenagers again. They had no memory of their identities as Sailor Senshi, of their friendships, or of the events between March 1992 - January 1993 but yet they remained the correct age and the date also remained correct.1 Luna and Artemis were the only ones that remembered the battle against Queen Beryl.

Two months past and it was now March of 1993. Usagi and her friends entered eighth grade again. The two aliens, Ail (Alan) and Ann arrived on Earth on a meteor with their lifeforce, Makaiju (Doom Tree), to collect energy to keep Makaiju alive. Though lovers, they enrolled into Usagi's school as brother and sister. Once Ail and Ann's monsters began to attack the people of Tokyo, Luna awoke Sailor Moon immediately. Usagi definitely didn't want to regain her memories or become Sailor Moon again. She even cried and asked Luna to stop while Luna was restoring her memories but Sailor Moon soon took her places as Champion of Justice again.

She fought alone until she was in danger and Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako felt the instinct to protect Sailor Moon. Luna then also restored their memories and reawakened their powers. Also, a new character, not Tuxedo Mask, came to Sailor Moon's rescue.

Mamoru still had no memory of being Tuxedo Mask or of Usagi and Princess Serenity but he too had an instinct within him to protect Sailor Moon when she was in trouble. Usagi tried to explain her relationship to Mamoru at one point but Ann thought Usagi was crazy and interrupted her story. However, Mamoru's mind created Moonlight Knight to protect Usagi until he regained his memory. Ail began to get a crush on Usagi and Ann had a crush on Mamoru.

One day in June 1993, Ail and Ann did not show up for school. Usagi and Mamoru decided to go the their apartment to cheer them up. They went into their apartment because no one answered the door. Usagi was curious and went into the bedroom of Makaiju, who snatched her up instantly in its branches. Mamoru came to see what happened and he was taken also. Makaiju drained their energy and consumed the entire apartment building.

The Sailor Senshi saw the tree take over the building and came running. Ail and Ann watched as the Sailor Senshi fought Makaiji. Usagi awoke and transformed. Sailor Moon woke up Mamoru. "Sailor Moon?" he asked. "No," she said. "I'm just a girl who loves you." Ann started blasting Sailor Moon because she said Sailor Moon was taking Mamoru from her.

Sailor Moon said to Ann, "Please stop! We are friends. That's why Mamoru and I came to see how you are doing!" Ail then realized that his feelings for Sailor Moon were from friendship, not romantic love. Ann kept blasting Sailor Moon and suddenly, Mamoru jumped in front of Sailor Moon to protect her in his human form. He took the blasts until he was unconscious.

Ail tried to calm Ann down but she kept blasting everyone until finally Makaiji grew angry. Makaiji's branches knocked all the Sailor Senshi to the ground and one headed for Ann. Ail jumped in front of her and was knocked to the ground by the branch. Then, another branch was now headed for Ail. Ann stood in front of Ail, blocking the branches path, and told Makaiji to stop but the branch stabbed Ann. Ail cried and held Ann and Ann realized that she really loved Ail. Ann told him that she loved him and then she died.

Makaiji began to cry because it had killed Ann. Makaiji told Sailor Moon, Ail, and the others that it was from a distant planet. Makaiji gave birth to many children from its branches but the children grew up in anger and hate. They fought wars with each other and evenually destroyed the planet. Makaiju escaped into space from the planet with the remaining survivors but did not have the energy to sustain all of them, so it put all of its hope into the two children that were born after it went into space, Ail and Ann. To keep Ail and Ann alive, it went into a deep sleep to conserve energy and hoped that Ail and Ann would grow up with love to awaken Makaiju again. Ail and Ann's evil ways were actually killing Makaiju, not helping it, and it was Sailor Moon's love that awoken Makaiju.

Makaiju asked Sailor Moon to heal it with her love. After Makaiju is healed, it uses its lifeforce to revive anyone who died because of it, including Ann. Makaiju is then reduced to one branch. Ail and Ann decide to take this branch and grow it on another planet in their love, so they thank Sailor Moon and leave.

Moonlight Knight reveals to Sailor Moon that he is a part of Mamoru and now that Mamoru has regained his memory and desire to protect Sailor Moon, he can go back into Mamoru. Mamoru then woke up and said, "Sorry, I made you wait, Usako." and they hugged.³

Mamoru and Usagi were finally reunited and very much in love. While they were at the park one day still in June 1993, Chibi-Usa (Rini) fell from the sky and demanded that Usagi hand over the Silver Crystal. She was from Crystal Tokyo in the 30th Century and had come back in time to save her mother. She hypnotised Usagi's family into believing that she is Usagi's cousin. She begins to live with Usagi and follows Usagi everywhere. Usagi becomes annoyed and even jealous when Chibi-Usa and Mamoru feel a strange connection with each other.

At the same time, the Black Moon family (Negamoon) arrived in Tokyo. Ruebus and the Ayakashi Four Sisters, Cooan (Catzy), Beruche (Birdie), Caraberas (Avery), and Petz (Prisma), were also from the 30th Century and were set on taking over the crystal points of Crystal Tokyo.

Mamoru began to have nightmares about Usagi dying because he was close to her. He interpreted the dreams to mean that he should not be near Usagi or she would die. So he refused to see her for a long time and Usagi was very upset. She often wanted to blame Chibi-Usa for Mamoru's strange behavior but realized that Chibi-Usa is only a little girl who was lonely and missed her parents.

Sailor Moon eventually healed Cooan, Beruche, Caraberas, and Petz and the Ayakashi Four Sisters became normal humans living happy lives in Tokyo. Sailor Moon also defeated Ruebus, who died in a fire on his UFO. After Ruebus' death, more of the Black Moon Family arrived in Tokyo, including Wiseman, Prince Diamond, his brother Sapphire, and Emerald, who took over for Ruebus.

In November, one of Emerald's droids infected Chibi-Usa's dream and Chibi-Usa became ill. By now, Usagi treated Chibi-Usa like a little sister and she and the others were very worried and sat at Chibi-Usa's bedside. Chibi-Usa called out "Pu" in her sleep and her floating mechanical cat, Luna-P, came to her. Luna-P was a communication device for Chibi-Usa to communicate with Sailor Pluto. Sailor Pluto helped Sailor Moon and the others enter Chibi-Usa's dream and save her from the droid.

In Chibi-Usa's dream, Sailor Moon found out that Crystal Tokyo had been under attack and Chibi-Usa's mother was injured. Chibi-Usa begged Sailor Moon to save her mother. In the dream, Sailor Moon convinced Chibi-Usa that they were friends. When Chibi-Usa woke up, she saw "Pu" (Sailor Pluto) and begged Pluto to return her to the future. Sailor Pluto told her that it wasn't time yet and asked Sailor Moon to take care of her. Sailor Pluto disappeared and Luna-P returned to normal.

Usagi began to get the same dream that Mamoru had and talked to him about it. She told him that she didn't care what happened to her in the future as long as they could be together now. Finally after much crying on both their parts, Mamoru could not hold back his love for Usagi any longer and they made up.

Usagi, Mamoru, Rei, Ami, Minako, Makoto, and Chibi-Usa decided to take a break and took a trip to the flower garden to have a picnic.2 While they were leaving, a storm of rose petals came down from the sky and Fiore appeared. "It's been awhile, Mamoru," Fiore said. "But I finally found a flower that you would like." Mamoru didn't remember him. "Did you forget about our promise?" Fiore asked and grabbed Mamoru's hands. Usagi ran to them and said that Mamoru was hers. Fiore knocked her over with a powerful push.

Makoto ran to Usagi's side and was angry with Fiore but Fiore was disappeared, promising to fulfill his promise to Mamoru. Then, Mamoru remembered who Fiore was and went home right away.

Later that day, Luna and Artemis told the girls about a large seed-shaped meteor that was approaching the Earth. Though it was large in size, its mass was very small and they were picking up reading of plant energy on the meteor. The news said that it would not come close enough to the Earth to have an effect and the girls brushed off Luna and Artemis's worries about the plant energy, thinking it was moss.

They were much more interested in Mamoru and his relationship with Fiore. Usagi knew it wasn't a "normal relationship but Mamoru wouldn't do something like that." Minako said it seemed like Mamoru knew Fiore. Ami said that many guys must be attracted to Mamoru too and Makoto agreed. As the girls continued to talk about Mamoru's strange relationship, Usagi remembered a time in which she was over at Mamoru's apartment and asked if he had lived alone this whole time since his parents died. He said that he had and it was very lonely but he wasn't lonely anymore. "I feel like I've been waiting alone just to meet you," Mamoru said. Usagi promised to protect Mamoru.

Overnight, seeds fell from the sky and the next day while the girls were walking to school, they discovered a street full of energy-drained people. Suddenly, the people became zombies and attacked the girls. The girls defeated the zombies without transforming. (I know I was shocked too!) Ami said that a plant was controlling the people and found the location of a flower. The flower suddenly turned into a monster and started running toward Chibi-Usa. Usagi dove and grabbed Chibi-Usa out of the way and they crashed into a store window.

Just as the Sailor Senshi finished defeating the flower monster, Fiore appeared. He instantly recognized the Sailor Senshi as the girls with Mamoru from the day before. Attached to the breast of his shirt was a small exotic flower, Kisenian. A woman-form came out of the flower. Kisenian said she liked the energy of the people of Earth. Fiore quickly blasted each of the Sailor Senshi, who crumpled against the wall. Right when he was about to blast Sailor Moon also, Tuxedo Mask came and stopped him with a rose. Fiore also recognized Tuxedo Mask as Mamoru right away. At first, Fiore thought Tuxedo Mask was on his side but when he realized Tuxedo Mask had come to save Sailor Moon, he asked, "Why are you with this girl? She will betray you and leave you alone!" Tuxedo Mask said, "Fiore, please. If your friendship with me is real, believe in this girl and the people of this planet."

Fiore grew angry, perhaps jealous, and lunged at Sailor Moon with his sword to kill her. Tuxedo Mask jumped in front of her and, using his cane, dualed with Fiore, trying to reason with him. Fiore was too overcome with rage and accidentally stabbed Tuxedo Mask. Tuxedo Mask fell and Fiore was shocked. "Why do you risk yourself for this girl?" Despite Sailor Moon's cries, Fiore picked up Tuxedo Mask and disappeared with him.

Fiore took Tuxedo Mask to the seed meteor and placed him into a crystal-like container to heal his wounds. Tuxedo Mask told Fiore that he thought he had dreamed Fiore up when he was little but now he knew that Fiore was real. Fiore told him that after he left Earth, he travelled many planets looking for the perfect flower to bring back to Mamoru. Then, he found the Kisenian flower. When he touched it, he said that he realized he had to kill all the people of Earth for making you feel so lonely. Tuxedo Mask said that wasn't what he wanted. Fiore said, "You won't leave me, will you, Mamoru? I want to be the one to give you lots of flowers."

Back on Earth, Luna and Artemis were telling the Sailor Senshi about the Kisenian flower. They recognized it right away as the most dangerous plant in the universe. The Kisenian flower travelled from planet to planet, stealing all the energy of the planet until the planet died, but since it was still only a plant, it needed to be attached to a person, who would help it move around. It attached to people with weak hearts and changed their weak hearts into an evil heart full of hatred. They realized that the meteor that was approaching the Earth was Kisenian's headquarters, so the Sailor Senshi decided to "Sailor Teleport" to the meteor.

Just as the Sailor Senshi arrived on it, the meteor opened up in to a flower shape. The entire meteor was covered in Kisenian flowers. Sailor Moon saw Tuxedo Mask in his crystal container and was about to run to him when Sailor Jupiter said it might be a trap. Fiore appeared and said, "You don't have to worry about that. I would never use Mamoru as bait." Sailor Moon demanded that he give Mamoru back and he said that he would eventually return Mamoru to Earth but first, he was going to spread the all seeds of the flowers on the meteor down to Earth.

Suddenly, all the flowers on the meteor became flower monsters and attacked the Sailor Senshi. Sailor Moon was able to wipe out a section of flowers at a time with her wand but it was very slow. Sailor Mars quickly push Sailor Moon out of the way just before the rest of the Sailor Senshi were caught by the flower monsters. The Sailor Senshi were tied up into a flower column, which shocked them on Fiore's command. Fiore told Sailor Moon to throw her wand down. If she hurt his flowers, he would hurt her friends. The Sailor Senshi told her to keep fighting but she surrendered her wand. "I am sorry, everyone, but I cannot stand to see you in pain. You are too imporant to me."

Sailor Moon's action affected Kisenian's spell of Fiore because he did not understand human feelings. Kisenian quickly placed him under a deeper spell, telling him that if he defeated Sailor Moon, Mamoru would remember their friendship. Fiore grabbed Sailor Moon by the neck and began to drain her energy. He yelled at her, saying that she would never understand the loneliness that he and Mamoru had to go through. As he yelled, the Inner Senshi remembered times in which Usagi rescued them from their own individual loneliness.

After draining all her energy, Fiore threw Sailor Moon to the ground and was about the stab her when the Inner Senshi told him not to because she was irreplaceble. Fiore didn't believe them and was about to kill her when a rose came flying and stabbed Fiore in the heart. A healed Tuxedo Mask was able to break free from the container and save Sailor Moon. Fiore fell to his knees. Kisenian told Fiore to get up but Fiore was too much in shock that Mamoru would hurt him. All the flowers on the meteor disappeared but the Earth was not saved yet. Fiore told them that the meteor was now headed straight for Earth and that they would all burn up and die as the meteor entered the atmosphere. Kisenian said that once Fiore died, she would be able to attack the people of Earth herself.

Sailor Moon said she wouldn't let that happen and took out the Silver Imperium Crystal. The Inner Senshi and Tuxedo Mask begged her not to use it because she would die if she did. "This is the only way to save everyone," Sailor Moon told them. "Don't worry. I won't die. Let's all go back to Earth together."

Suddenly, Fiore grabbed the Silver Crystal on Sailor Moon's chest and said he wouldn't let her change the course of the meteor. She looked at him kindly and said, "Don't be afraid. You are not alone." She showed him her own memories of the day at the hospital with Mamoru. The rose that Mamoru gave to Fiore that day was given to Mamoru by her. The Silver Crystal shined brightly, destroying the Kisenian flower, and Fiore disappeared.

The meteor was breaking up as it was entering the Earth's atmosphere. Sailor Moon turned into Princess Serenity and promised to protect everyone. The Silver Crystal formed bands of light around the meteor, struggling to protect the people on it and change its course at the same time.

The Sailor Senshi formed a line behind Princess Serenity and contributed their powers. Tuxedo Mask turned into Prince Endymion and, standing at Princess Serenity's side, contributed his love and courage. At once, the Silver Crystal's power escalated into a burst of light. The meteor flew by Earth and the Earth was saved. However, the Silver Crystal suddenly shattered. Princess Serenity's eyes went blank and she collapsed.

The meteor was now floating around in space. The Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo Mask were surrounding Sailor Moon's lifeless body. They began to cry. "You liar," Sailor Mars cried. "You said you wouldn't die." Fiore's spirit, which looked like him when he first met Mamoru as a little boy, appeared to Tuxedo Mask and said, "Thank you. You and Sailor Moon saved me again. Mamoru, now I'll make that promise come true. This is the flower of life that has my energy. Give the nectar of the flower to Sailor Moon." Tuxedo Mask took the nectar into his lips and then kissed Sailor Moon.

The Silver Crystal reformed into Sailor Moon's transformation brooch and Sailor Moon woke up. She looked at everyone around her and said weakly, "Didn't I tell you that I would protect everything?" Everyone rushed to her happily and they returned to Earth.

Days later, Emerald attacked Chibi-Usa's elementary school. Chibi-Usa's friend, Momoko (Melissa), saved Chibi-Usa from a blast and took the blast herself. Seeing this, Chibi-Usa released a powerful moon blast from a crescent moon on her forehead, stunning the droids. After this attack, Chibi-Usa decided to return to the future to save her mother but she was scared. Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo Mask agreed to go with her and together they embarked on a trip to the future. (Go to the future with them or continue reading in chronological order.)

Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask, and the rest of the Senshi returned from Crystal Tokyo to fight Wiseman and Black Lady (Wicked Lady). Meanwhile, Sapphire discovered that Wiseman was using Prince Diamond to serve his own purposes. Injured by Wiseman, he went to Tokyo to warn his brother but passed out. Petz, who loved Sapphire deeply, found him and brought him to her home to take care of him. Petz told him how wonderful it was to live as a normal human in Tokyo. She begged Sapphire not to go back to his brother because she didn't want to see him hurt further.

Sapphire left anyway because he had to talk to his brother but he left his uniform with Petz as a promise that he would come back to her. When Sapphire did find Prince Diamond, Wiseman killed him before he would speak with his brother. The bandages that Petz wrapped around his head fell and revealed that his Dark Moon crescent moon was gone. He had healed himself from evil. Sapphire's uniform hanging in Petz's closet fell to the ground. She knew he was gone and tried not to cry.

Prince Diamond was shocked by what Wiseman had done and was furious with him. The only reason why Prince Diamond was doing this was because Wiseman told them that the Black Moon family could not live on Earth with Neo-Queen Serenity's people but he remembered how the Ayakashi Four Sisters were now living peacefully on Earth. Sailor Moon also helped convince him that Wiseman had been lying all along. Wiseman and Prince Diamond began to fight. Prince Diamond, now good, was killed and asked Sailor Moon to take care of the Four Sisters. Prince Diamond was able to shatter Wiseman's human form and now Wiseman was the Death Phantom.

Black Lady joined Death Phantom for the final battle in early March of 1994. Knowing that Black Lady was their beloved Chibi-Usa, the Sailor Senshi did not hurt her and Black Lady easily knocked them to the ground. She vowed to kill all of them, starting with Sailor Moon, and released a blast at Sailor Moon.

Tuxedo Mask shielded Sailor Moon from the blast, taking it himself. This act stunned Black Lady because she didn't understand why Tuxedo Mask would risk his life for another person. Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Moon remembered that King Endymion said they must use the strength of their love to succeed. The two joined hands and Sailor Moon unleashed the power of the Imperium Silver Crystal. The Silver Crystal's light called to Neo-Queen Serenity in Crystal Tokyo still encased in her protective crystal. When the light faded, Neo-Queen Serenity appeared in Sailor Moon's place!

Using Sailor Moon to channel herself, Neo-Queen Serenity reminded Black Lady of her real memories and the good childhood she had. Black Lady realized the lies that the Black Moon had fed her, breaking the spell they had cast, and she turned back into Chibi-Usa. Neo-Queen Serenity also turned back into Sailor Moon.

But Neo-Queen Serenity channeled herself through Sailor Moon once again and fought Wiseman but his powers were too strong. It began to appear that she was going to lose. Chibi-Usa was very sad, saying that it was all her fault that this was happening. She began to cry and the first tear that she cried turned into the Imperium Silver Crystal. She realized then that when she had touched it, the Silver Crystal absorbed into her body.

She turned into Small Lady and, with Tuxedo Mask's permission, she joined her mother. Using both the Imperium Silver Crystal of Tokyo and of Crystal Tokyo, they defeated Wiseman and the Black Moon Crystal was destroyed. Neo-Queen Serenity and Small Lady transformed back into Sailor Moon and Chibi-Usa. Neo-Queen Serenity and Crystal Tokyo were saved!

After this fantastic battle, Chibi-Usa thanked the Sailor Senshi and returned to her home in Crystal Tokyo with a bit of sadness. "Thank you, Mommy!" Rini cried to Usagi as she was transported to the future

Tokyo: Sailor Moon S, Part I


The possessed Professor Tomoe formed a group called the Death Busters and decided it was time to begin his strike. He ordered his assistant, Kaolinite (Kaori Nite), to attack pure humans and extract their crystal pure hearts. Three special crystal pure hearts would become talismans that can be used to obtain the Holy Grail and bring about the destruction of the world.¹

Haruka (Amara) began having a strange reoccurring dream in which the world was being destroyed and Sailor Neptune appeared to Haruka in her dream saying, "We must find the Messiah quickly. It is up to you and me." A few days later, Haruka had a junior high track meet in which she was completing against Elza Grey.

After the meet, Elza introduced her to Michiru (Michelle), another junior high student 2. "Michiru is a brilliant painter," Elza said. Michiru said to Haruka, "You can hear the wind rustling, can't you?" and Haruka knew that Michiru was the girl in her dream. Haruka asked Michiru what she wanted and Michiru asked Haruka to pose for a painting. Haruka declined and left.

Days later, Michiru was performing with her violin on a cruise ship and Haruka was in the audience watching. "She is beautiful and a great violinist but she doesn't have any friends. I don't think she likes people," some people commented near Haruka. Haruka got up and walked around the ship. She came across a painting hanging over a stairway. It is of a city being destroyed by water and was called "End of the World by Michiru Kaiou". Michiru somehow was sitting on the stairs next the painting (wasn't she performing??).

"You seem to know a lot about me," Haruka said to Michiru. "You are very famous at my school and you have lots of fans," Michiru said. "One of them wants to ride with you along the coastline in your car, even though she's a girl." "How can such a nice and gentle girl like you can paint such a horrible imaginary scene?" Haruka said. Michiru became angry. "It isn't imaginary! I can see it in my destiny, just like you."

"I don't care what I see," Haruka said. "The end of the world is not my business. I only care about racing. If you want to save the world, did it yourself. Stop investigating me."
"I don't want to do it either," Michiru said. "I have a dream too. I want to play violin."

Several day pass and Haruka was in the automotive garage when she heard a boy crying for help. She approached the boy to see what was wrong when he transformed into a monster. The monster attacked Haruka and she tried to fight it with a crowbar but it was too strong. Suddenly, a transformation wand appeared in mid-air.

Haruka began to reach out for it when a voice called out, "Don't touch it!" Haruka turned around and Michiru was standing at the door to the garage. Michiru continued, "If you do, you'll never be to return to a normal life." She held out another transformation wand and transformed into Sailor Neptune.

Sailor Neptune attacked the monster, driving it back. Haruka told her to stop because that boy was still inside. "The silence is approaching," Sailor Neptune said. "If I don't do this, there will be more sacrifices." She said she did not choose to fight this way. With Haruka distracted, the monster attacked again and Sailor Neptune dove to push Haruka out of the way. The monster slashed Sailor Neptune with his claws but she used her attack "Deep Submerge" to defeat it and the monster turned back into the boy. Sailor Neptune slumped on the ground in Haruka's arms.

"I didn't investigate you just because you were the other soldier," Sailor Neptune said weakly. "Before I knew, I was always watching you, even when you raced for the first time. I've always wanted to ride with you along the coastline. You never ask favors of anyone and you're always faithful to your feelings." "I'm not faithful," Haruka said. "I'm always running away."

"No," Sailor Neptune said. "I know you better than you do because I've always been watching you. I just didn't want you to take the same path I took." Sailor Neptune closed her eyes. "Still, I was happy when I found out that you were the one..." Haruka looked back at her transformation wand and took it, becoming Sailor Uranus.

A few weeks past since Chibi-Usa's departure. It was mid-March 1994 and Usagi was starting ninth grade, the third year of junior high. Rei began having a reoccuring dream in which a figure destroys the Earth and kills the Sailor Senshi.

She became the first victim of Kaolinite and Professor Tomoe's daimon monsters. The daimon extracted the pure heart crystal from Rei and was about to give it to Kaolinite but Sailor Uranus and Neptune stole it from her. They studied it, decided that it was not a talisman, and gave it back to Rei.

The two new Sailor Senshi, Neptune and Uranus, appeared again in the Sailor Senshi's next battle. After they discovered that the crystal pure heart was not a talisman, they were about to leave. Sailor Venus called out to them and asked them to help defeat the daimon. Sailor Uranus said, "We only care about finding the talismans. Make no mistake about that." Sailor Neptune added, "Take care of your own problems." and they both jumped out of sight.

The next day, Minako and Usagi met Haruka and Michiru, first year students in high school, for the first time. Haruka was a race car driver and Michiru was an artist and violinist. They became older friends of Usagi, Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako. Usagi and the others soon discovered that they were also lovers.

Kaolinite and Professor Tomoe's daimons continued to attack humans with pure hearts. Sailor Neptune and Uranus continued to show up to take the pure heart and check if it was a talisman. Many times, they watched as a human, including Makoto, was attacked by daimon and allowed it to happen so that the pure heart could be extracted. Sailor Moon often begged the two to give the pure heart back because the victim would die. "Some sacrifices must be made," Sailor Uranus would reply. "It is our mission to find the talismans," Sailor Neptune would add.

Sailor Uranus and Neptune's mission was to prevent the "coming silence", or destruction of the world, by finding the Messiah. The Messiah would be revealed when the three talismans were brought together but the owners of the pure hearts that become talismans would die. The death of innocent people is the sacrifice that Sailor Neptune and Uranus knew had to be made. However, the Inner Senshi (Sailor Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter) refused to accept that innocent people had to save the world.

So Sailor Neptune and Uranus never joined forces with the Inner Senshi. Sailor Uranus and Neptune's mission was so important that even if something happened to the other, they promised each other that the other wouldn't go back and try to help. Instead, she would survive and continue with the mission.

Eventually, Sailor Moon became the target and her pure crystal heart was extracted. It was not a talisman and she was saved by Sailor Uranus. Sailor Uranus, Neptune, and the Inner Senshi joined together in a battle against Kaolinite, in which she was defeated and supposedly died.

Professor Tomoe called in the Witches 5 to take her place, beginning with Eudial (Eugeal). Eudial was very intelligent and used a computer to choose victims. She drove a white station wagon and extracted crystal pure hearts by shooting them out of the victim with a large gun.

After Eudial's first battle with the Sailor Senshi in August of 1994, Sailor Chibi Moon appeared. Neo-Queen Serenity sent Chibi-Usa back to the 20th Century to train as a Sailor Senshi. Chibi-Usa was now bishojo Sailor Senshi in training, Sailor Chibi Moon! Her attacks were very weak but cute and served as a good distraction.

Professor Tomoe finally revealed to Eudial that when a talisman was extracted, it would turn into one of three sacred items, a mirror, a gem, or a sword. He also said that the Holy Grail must be used by someone to have any effect. If it was used by their allies, then he could create a world of evil. If used by his enemies, like the Sailor Senshi, his plans would be ruined so it was very important that they get the Holy Grail before the Sailor Senshi did.

By the end of September of 1994, Minako became Eudial's target. After Eudial shot Minako's pure crystal heart out of her chest, Minako ran away (don't ask me how that was possible without her pure crystal heart) and collapsed into an underground parking garage. Usagi and Eudial chased after her. Haruka and Michiru were also in the garage. Usagi, Haruka, and Michiru struggled with not transforming because they didn't want to reveal their identities to each other.

Finally, just as Eudial was about to approach Minako to take her crystal heart, Usagi transformed into Sailor Moon, revealing her identity to Haruka, Michiru, and Eudial. Eudial's daimon soon had Sailor Moon trapped but Haruka and Michiru tried to distract it.

It then started to attack them so they had no choice but to transform into Sailor Uranus and Neptune, revealing their idenities to Eudial and Usagi. Together, Sailor Moon, Neptune, and Uranus defeated the daimon but Eudial pulled out a fire blaster from her station wagon and was about to fire it when Minako transformed into Sailor Venus and destroyed the blaster. Eudial then started to freak out, screaming, "Everyone is a Sailor Senshi?!" and sped away in her station wagon. Sailor Moon asked Sailor Uranus and Neptune, "Michiru and Haruka, why are you trying to get the talismans at cost of people's lives?" Sailor Uranus told Sailor Moon not to get involved and left.

In mid-October 1994, Eudial's new computer program revealed the holders of the talismans. She quickly called Haruka at Haruka and Michiru's apartment. "I know who the holder of the talisman is. I'm going to get it now. We have won! I know you are looking for the talismans too. Maybe we will let you join us. Come to the place I specify. I'm faxing you the map." Haruka and Michiru believed that Eudial was telling the truth about knowing where the talismans were. Haruka said that she will do anything to get the talismans. They called Usagi and asked her to meet them at the aquarium.

On the roof of the aquarium, Haruka told Usagi that she never wanted to see Sailor Moon appear before them again. Usagi pleaded that since they were all Sailor Senshi, they could work together. Haruka said, "I won't let you slow us down again!" and snatched Usagi's transformation brooch from her, knocking her to the ground.

"Wait, don't steal any more pure hearts!" Usagi shouted. "Shut up!" said Haruka. "If you appear before us again, you'll die!" Haruka and Michiru transformed into Sailor Uranus and Neptune. Sailor Uranus continued, "We are looking for the three talismans sealed into pure hearts. Without them, the Holy Grail will never appear." "The silence that will end the world is approaching," Sailor Neptune said. "Only the Messiah who can use the Holy Grail can stop it."

"Do not interfere," Sailor Uranus said. She and Sailor Neptune hopped on to a waiting helicopter, leaving Usagi behind. Setsuna (Trista) appeared behind Usagi. She said she was a friend of Michiru and Haruka's. "Do you want to help them?" Setsuna asked. "They are going into a battle according to their destiny but they are in danger." Though she knew she could not transform, Usagi said, "Please, if you know where they are going, please tell me."

Sailor Uranus and Neptune arrived at the Marine Cathedral to meet Eudial. Before going in, they again agreed to not worry about the other's safety and concentrate on getting the talismans. They went inside and was almost immediately attacked by oncoming walls of Eudial. They were able to destroy all but one wall and this last one was coming for Sailor Uranus. Sailor Neptune dove to push Sailor Uranus out of the way and was hit by the wall. The wall with Sailor Neptune disappeared. Eudial then appeared. "I got the one with the talisman! Sailor Neptune is the owner of the talisman and I'm going to take it from her! If you want to watch, come to the prayer hall."

In the prayer hall, the injured Sailor Neptune was strapped to a tablet by thorny vines. There was a narrow bridge that led to the alter where she was held. When Sailor Uranus tried to cross the bridge, darts shot her. "Don't worry," said Eudial. "I haven't taken the talisman from her yet. First, I will take the talisman from you!" She pointed the pure heart extracing gun at Sailor Uranus.

Right when Eudial was about to shoot Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune used all her strength to break out of the vines and made her way to Sailor Uranus to help her. When she tried to cross the bridge, the darts hit her over and over. "Haruka, I won't let you die," Sailor Neptune said. Uranus shouted back for her not to move. Sailor Neptune kept moving across the bridge until she was hit so much that the darts finally ran out but she was about to die.

With the last amount of energy she had, she tried to attack Eudial but Eudial pointed the gun at her and shot her pure heart out of her body. Sailor Neptune fell on the ground and died. Her pure heart glowed brightly and changed into the mirror talisman.

Sailor Uranus couldn't believe it. "The talimans are sealed into us. Is this the penalty for our deeds?" Eudial was about to grab the mirror when Usagi appeared and rammed into Eudial, knocking her off the bridge. Usagi tried to get the mirror to go back into Sailor Neptune but it wouldn't. Sailor Uranus sat next to her very depressed.

"It's okay," Sailor Uranus said about Neptune's death. "A talisman has been found." She gave Usagi back the transformation brooch she stole and grabbed Eudial's gun. "I'm going to get the other talisman." Usagi tried to stop her and fought over the gun. "No! We can save the world without the talismans! I will save the world!" "When you say it, I almost believe you," Sailor Uranus said. "For an instance, you looked like the Messiah."

Sailor Uranus knocked Usagi over, turned the gun on herself, and said, "Sailor Moon, find the last talisman." She shot her pure heart crystal out. Just as Setsuna and the other Senshi arrived, Sailor Uranus' pure heart turned into the sword talisman. Usagi cried over Sailor Uranus and Neptune.

Sailor Uranus, who was still breathing, looked up and thought Usagi was the Messiah, a slender maiden with butterfly-like wings. She told Usagi to protect the talismans and find the last one. Then give the Holy Grail to the legendary Messiah, who can use the Holy Grail to prevent the Silence and fill the world with light.

Sailor Uranus died and Eudial returned from the pit beneath the bridge. She attacked the Sailor Senshi, snatched up both talismans, and ran off. Sailor Moon and the Sailor Senshi were soon joined by Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Chibi Moon. They caught up with Eudial but Sailor Moon's most powerful attack had no effect on Eudial.

Setsuna appeared then and called out, "Eudial, I will take back the talismans!" Setsuna transformed into Sailor Pluto. Sailor Pluto held the last talisman, the gem talisman that topped her staff. She held out the gem talisman and it began to glow. The sword and mirror talismans left Eudial and formed a triangle with the gem talisman.

Sailor Pluto's planet mark on her forehead began to glow, as did Sailor Neptune and Uranus'. Sailor Neptune and Uranus' bodies appeared behind their talismans. Their pure crystal hearts came out their talismans and went back into their bodies. Sailor Uranus and Neptune came back to life!

The three grasped their respective talismans and light filled the room. The Holy Grail appeared before them! Eudial and Sailor Moon both jumped to grab it but Sailor Moon got it first. The instant that Sailor Moon touched the Holy Grail, the Silver Imperium Crystal reacted to it.

Sailor Moon became Super Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon became Super Sailor Chibi Moon. Eudial tried to attack Super Sailor Moon but the attack didn't touch Super Sailor Moon and deflected back to Eudial, blowing her out of the church. "Is Sailor Moon the Messiah?" the Sailor Senshi wondered. Super Sailor Moon suddenly reverted back to Sailor Moon and she fainted. Sailor Uranus was disappointed. "She isn't the Messiah. The Messiah has infinite power but Sailor Moon fainted from using only a little power from the Holy Grail." Sailor Neptune agreed, "The real Messiah must be elsewhere." Sailor Uranus said, "Looks like we have new mission."

Eudial escaped into her station wagon but the second of the Witches 5, Mimete, sabotaged the brakes. Eudial tried to control the car but drove off a cliff and died. Mimete appeared to Professor Tomoe. He already knew the Holy Grail had appeared and was in the possession of the Sailor Senshi but he was not angry because they could not control it. He intended to have Messiah of Silence control the Holy Grail. The Messiah of Silence told Professor Tomoe to continue to collect pure hearts and use them as energy.

Professor Tomoe created a daimon that would eat pure hearts and Mimete began to seek targets. Mimete chose good-looking males targets that were usually famous people.
The Outer Senshi refused to join forces with the Inner Senshi. They were granted stronger powers because their job was to protect the Solar System at a distance from outside invaders and believe the Inner Senshi would get in the way of finding the Messiah.

In the beginning of November, Chibi-Usa met Hotaru in the park. They two became instant friends. Hotaru had very bad health and often had attacks that would immobilize body and cause it to shake. She also had special powers, which she used to heal a wound that Chibi-Usa got when she fell down. Though Chibi-Usa knew that Professor Tomoe was her father, none of the Sailor Senshi knew that Professor Tomoe was the leader of the Death Busters. Hotaru, completely unknown to her, was also the Messiah of Silence.

A week later, Chibi-Usa and Usagi visited Hotaru's house. To Usagi's shock, Kaolinite answered the door. It appeared she didn't die after all. Usagi brushed it off, thinking that it couldn't be Kaolinite. Hotaru didn't like her father's assistant, Ms. Kaori. Usagi and Chibi-Usa learned that Hotaru's mother died a long time ago and that her father was pretty busy because he was scientist.

In addition to Chibi-Usa's new friend, Chibi-Usa's old best friend had returned, Sailor Pluto, who she called "Pu". Setsuna said, "Small Lady, you shouldn't call me 'Pu' in this world. Call me 'Setsuna'." Chibi-Usa responded, "Okay, but only if you call me 'Chibi-Usa', instead of 'Small Lady'." The two laughed. Setsuna promised that Chibi-Usa that she could see her anytime now that she was in their world.

After Chibi-Usa left, Michiru and Haruka joined Setsuna in the park. Haruka wondered why the Death Busters were still collecting pure hearts and Setsuna said that they must have already found the host of the Messiah of Silence and was trying to awaken it.

It became apparent that whenever Hotaru had a seizure, she became the Messiah of Silence. When she awoke from her seizure, she never remembered what happened. After fainting from a seizure, she recalled how she killed her pet goldfish and how she hurt kids at school but she never remembered.

Hotaru revealed her power to everyone near the end of November. She was leaning against Haruka's car because she wasn't feeling well and got caught in the battle between Sailor Uranus, Sailor Chibi Moon, and the Inner Senshi against a daimon. The daimon was charging right for Hotaru when suddenly, Hotaru's body and eyes flared with energy and she blasted the daimon away. Haruka began to suspect that Hotaru was dangerous by now and told Chibi-Usa to stay away from her. Chibi-Usa didn't listen and she and Hotaru became the best of friends
