For someone who lives at a temple where everything is supposed to be peaceful, Raye has the shortest temper of the Sailor Scouts! The things that get her goat however are, Chad's off-key singing, Grandpa's infactuation with young girls, but especially Serena's constant irratability. Raye always has it out with Serena, but more than once she has shown her true care and concern for her. The most short-tempered, and yet the most spiritual of the girls, Raye connects herself with fire. This quality makes her the perfect Scout of Fire, Sailor Mars! Hino Rei married the actor Hisakino Genjuurou.
But she also kept her maiden name of Hino.
She fulfilled all her dreams, except of being a Shinto Priestess.

Rei and Genjuurou had five children, Karei, Nijiro, Megumi, Seijuuro, and Genjuuro.
